With the SAP Document Center solution, your employees can work with documents from different systems (cloud storage, ERP systems).

SAP offers an optimised client with modern UI technology for the respective device (desktop PC, Android smartphone, iPhone, tablet). This enables your employees to access your business dcuments both online and offline, whether they are at their desk or on the move.

From the user’s perspective, the apps behave in the same way as familiar cloud storage applications such as Dropbox or OneDrive. SAP Document Center is the successor to SAP Easy Document Management.

Disadvantages of the SAP Document Centre

  • Information on document info records (DIS) difficult to retrieve and maintain (standardised FIORI apps)
  • No mass maintenance of DIS information
  • Links between SAP Business Object and document only possible at individual document level – cannot be mapped on the basis of records
  • No support for mapping processes (reference to SAP workflow technology)

SAP Easy DMS

In the past, SAP Easy DMS was the user-friendly interface for managing documents. As of S/4 HANA 1511, SAP Easy DMS is no longer available.
